INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Today is International Day of Peace but it is something that is missing from many of our lives. Living in fear is not a safe way to live. I am learning that despite my best efforts I am not in control. John 11:33 – “I have said all these things to you, that in me you have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
When Jesus left heaven to come to earth and live a perfect life, He did so for one main reason. He came to earth to die the death of sinner even though He was perfect and blameless because of the sin that is in each of us. Someone needed to pay the price of all the sin in the world. When Jesus came He died on the cross taking every sin and putting it on himself. He paid the penalty that we deserved. He died and was placed in a tomb. 3 days later he rose from the dead, defeating death. He had overcome it all. In the end, He wins, and anyone who follows Jesus wins. Life is full of many ups and downs but my peace is placed solely in knowing that Jesus and wins in the end. Meaning I have nothing to fear. I also believe that if someone can do that for me, that they are faithful. When fear or anxiety rise up in me, I remember the cross. The bloodiest act of kindness and I remind myself that Jesus loves me, that He cares for me, and that He has me. He’s a good Father, and like any good parents wants the very best for us. Remember that sometimes, the best thing, is walking through a hard season so he can tenderly walk you through, grow you, and draw you closer to Him.
In the hard times, remember Jesus died for you. He loves you and He’s a good Father.
