Slavery Still Exists Today

#TheEndItMOVEMENT

Today there are more than 4o million men, women, and children trapped in slavery. Slavery is illegal in every country but yet it is still happening. It is the second largest international crime. Slavery brings in more than 150 billion dollars. This disgusting crime preys on the young and the vulnerable. Many men and women are promised jobs or children are sold by a relative. They are told they will be given a job as a waitress or house maid. They get to their “job” and want to leave but they can’t because the pimp says they have to pay off their debts first. Most times, the debt can never be paid off and the men, women, and children are stuck. This doesn’t just happen in other countries though, it’s happening right here in our backyard. The Superbowl is the single largest human trafficking event in the world. It needs to stop.

February 7th, is the red x day. You put a red x on your hand and post a picture using the hashtag #enditmovement.
